The goal of the paper is to study infinite harmonic functions in Grushin-type spaces. In particular the author proves the following result: Theorem. Given a domain \(\Omega\) and a function \(u\) the following properties are equivalent: (a) \(u\) is an absolute minimizer (of the connected functional), (b) \(u\) is a viscosity infinite harmonic function, (c) \(u\) is potential infinite harmonic, (d) \(u\) enjoys comparison with Grushin cones. In addition the following ``one sided'' statements are equivalent: (1) \(u\) is an absolute sub (super)-minimizer (of the connected functional), (2) \(u\) is a viscosity infinite sub (super)-harmonic function, (3) \(u\) is potential infinite sub (super)-harmonic, (4) \(u\) enjoys comparison with Grushin cones from above (below).
