The main theorem in this paper provides arbitrarily many examples of smooth 2-knots which have isomorphic \(\pi_ 1\) and isomorphic \(\pi_ 2\) (viewed as \({\mathbb{Z}}\pi_ 1\)-modules), but distinct k-invariants.
