This paper investigates the use of fuzzy data in a fuzzy decision problem. An optional decision is a decision function from the data into the set of actions with maximum membership in some fuzzy set. Fuzzy estimation is when the set of actions and the states of nature are identical. Fuzzy hypothesis testing is when an action states that the state of nature belongs to one of two disjoint sets. Under general assumptions a class of optimal decisions is identified.
