The authors study quasi-symmetric designs with block intersection numbers 0 and \(y\geq 2\). They find two conditions for the number of such designs to be finite: 1. The block size k is fixed; 2. The pair of integers \((\bar e,z)\) such that the number of blocks disjoint from a given block is at most \(\bar e\) and the positive block intersection number y is at most z, is well-determined. Finally some results related to the above ones are given, among them the equivalence between two conjectures on such designs.
