Let \(E\{\) \(z: | z| <1\}\) and let \(\beta >0\); B(\(\beta)\) denotes the class of Bazilevich functions of type \(\beta\) which means that \(f\in B(\beta)\) is analytic in E and satisfies \[ (1)\quad Re\frac{zf'(z)}{f(z)^{1-\beta} g(z)^{\beta}}\quad >\quad 0\quad (| z| <1), \] where \(g\in S^*\), the class of starlike functions. The class of Bazilevich functions was defined by I. E. Bazilevich in 1955 and the above class B(\(\beta)\) arises as a result of setting \(\alpha =0\) in the defining relation for these functions. Let g be analytic in E with \(g(0)=0\), \(g'(0)=1\), and let \(k\geq 2\). The function g is said to belong to the class \(R_ k\) of functions with bounded radius rotation if, for \(z=re^{i\theta}\in E\) and \(0<r<1\), \[ \int^{2\pi}_{0}| Re (zf'(z)/f(z))| d\theta \leq k\pi. \] In this paper the authors consider the class \(B_ k(\beta)\) of functions f analytic in E and satisfying (1) for some \(g\in R_ k\). Various results on arc-length, coefficient differences, Hankel determinants etc. which hold for Bazilevich functions of type \(\beta\) are suitably extended to the class \(B_ k(\beta)\). The authors, however, do not consider the question of the univalence of the functions in \(B_ k(\beta)\) nor the question of whether or not the results obtained are best possible.
