It is shown that the existence theorems on good lattice points and optimal coefficients of \textit{E. Hlawka} [ibid. 66, 140-151 (1962; Zbl 0105.046)], \textit{N. M. Korobov} [Number-theoretical methods in approximate analysis (Russian) (1963; Zbl 0115.117)] and \textit{H. Niederreiter} [Monatsh. Math. 86, 203-219 (1978; Zbl 0395.10053)] are essentially best possible.
