Let E be a complete (Hausdorff) locally convex topological vector space. We denote each convex balanced and absorbing neighbourhood of the origin in E by U and let \(\| \cdot \|_ U\) be the Minkowski functional corresponding to U i.e. \(\| x\|_ U=\inf \{\lambda: x\in \lambda U\}\). Consider \(\dot x=f(t,x)\) (1), where \(f: J\times E\to E\) is continuous b-condensing and maps a bounded set \(\Delta\subset J\times E\) into a bounded subset of E, and \(f(t,0)=0\). Assuming that \(\| f(t,x)\|_ U\leq g(t,\| x\|_ U),\) for all \(U\in {\mathcal U}\) where \({\mathcal U}\) is a complete system of neighbourhoods of origin and \(g\in C(J\times R^+,R^+)\), the author proves two theorems on the comparison of solutions of the scalar equation \(\dot y=g(t,y)\) (2) to the solutions of (1) and on the stability (asymptotic stability) of the null solution of (1).
