\textit{H. Bethe} [Z. Phys. 71, 205-226 (1931; Zbl 0002.37205)] showed how to construct the Hamiltonian eigenvectors of the one-dimensional Heisenberg spin chain. This SU(2) model has been generalized to the \(SU(p+1)\) case by various authors in recent years, particularly taking advantage of the quantum inverse transform method (QITM). In this letter the authors discuss the Hopf algebraic formulation of the QITM for the \(gl(p+1)\)- invariant case and its connection with the representation theory of the symmetric groups.
