This survey article concerns completely simple and completely 0-simple semigroup identities. Let K be some subclass of CS-semigroups and Id(K) the set of all identities which hold in all semigroups from K. The author considers two main problems. Problem A is to find a criterion for identities to belong to the set Id(K). Problem B is the problem of existence of a finite and irreducible basis for the given system of identities Id(K).
