Bounds are derived for the solution to the boundary value problem (BVP) \(y''(t)-a_ 1y'(t)/t-a_ 0y(t)/t^ 2=f(t)\), \(0<t\leq 1\); \(a_{i0}y(0)+a_{i1}y'(0)+b_{i0}y(1)+b_{i1}y'(1)=c_ i\); \(i=1,2\), where \(a_ 0,a_ 1,a_{ij},b_{ij},c_ i\) are constants. The stability of a finite difference scheme for solving the BVP is also studied.
