A method is presented through which strong continuous dependence of solutions on the data for a large class of nonlinear partial differential equations can be proven. Particular attention is paid to the case of a compressible inviscid fluid flow, for which it is necessary to distinguish between the Cauchy problem and the mixed problem. For the Cauchy problem continuous dependence of the solution on the data was proven by \textit{T. Kato} [see e.g.: Ann. Inst. Henri Poincaré, Phys. Theor. 46, 113-129 (1987; Zbl 0632.35038)]. According to the author, the result of the present paper is the first to appear in the literature for compressible flows for the mixed problem. The main results are stated in several theorems and proofs thereof.
