Some new information measures for fuzzy sets (Q1204796): Difference between revisions

The authors introduce some new information measures for discriminating between fuzzy sets generalizing some previous entropies defined by Deluca and Termini and extending Renyi's probabilistic entropies of order \(\alpha\). Several interesting properties of the fuzzy divergence measure (for finite fuzzy sets with values in (0,1)): \[ D(A,B)=\sum^ n_{i=1}\left[(\mu_ A(x_ i)-\mu_ B(x_ i))\ln{\mu_ A(x_ i)\over\mu_ B(x_ i)} +(\mu_ B(x_ i)-\mu_ A(x_ i))\ln{1-\mu_ A(x_ i)\over 1-\mu_ B(x_ i)}\right] \] are investigated.
