The surjective correspondence between difference of positive functions and reproducing kernel Krein spaces (due to L. Schwartz) is extended to a surjective correspondence between linear combinations of positive functions and reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces of pairs. As an application we present a framework for a non hermitian Schur algorithm.
