The authors construct a one-parameter family of explicit smooth solutions of the three-dimensional steady, incompressible Navier-Stokes equations on \(\mathbb{R}^3\setminus\{p\}\) where \(p\) is a given point. These solutions are axisymmetric and homogeneous of degree \(-1\) and they also provide self-similar solutions of the time-dependent problem. It is shown that such solutions are unique in the class of axisymmetric flows. The authors also consider the steady three-dimensional Euler equations. These do not admit a one-point singular solution of the above type. Instead, all axisymmetric solutions that are homogeneous of degree \(-1\) are singular along the axis of symmetry and again explicit formulae are available.
