In order to demonstrate the generality of interpolation post-processing method, the authors discuss the classical Fredholm equation solved by the collocation method and the Volterra integral equation of the second kind solved by the Galerkin method. The global superconvergence is gained by means of the optimal interpolation and superclose identity techniques.
