Every real representation of the Clifford algebra Cl \(({\mathfrak z}= \mathbb{R}^m\), \(q=- \sum x_i^2)\) on \({\mathfrak v}=\mathbb{R}^n\) allows to define a Lie algebra structure and an inner product on \({\mathfrak s}= {\mathfrak v}\oplus{\mathfrak z}\oplus{\mathfrak a}\), where \({\mathfrak a}\cong \mathbb{R}\). The associated simply connected Lie group \(S\) with left invariant metric is called a Damek-Ricci space. It has sectional curvature \(\leq 0\). The author shows that a 1-codimensional subspace \({\mathfrak m}\subset{\mathfrak s}\) is a Lie subalgebra if and only if it can be represented as \({\mathfrak s}(\theta,V)= (\cos\theta V+\sin\theta a)^\perp\), where \(A\) and \(V\) are unit vectors of \({\mathfrak v}\) and \({\mathfrak a}\), respectively. Then for every fixed \(V\) the family of associated Lie subgroups \(S(\theta,V)\subset S\) describes an isometric deformation from a minimal hypersurface \(S(0,V)\) to a horosphere \(S(\pi/2,V)\). The class of Damek-Ricci spaces contains four types of symmetric spaces, namely the hyperbolic spaces over \(\mathbb{K}\in \{\mathbb{R}, \mathbb{C}, \mathbb{H}, \mathbb{O}\}\). In particular, for \(\mathbb{K}\neq \mathbb{R}\) one obtains in this way a series of interesting new examples of homogeneous hypersurfaces of these standard spaces.
