For an abstract elementary class \(K\) the author investigates the collection of cardinals in which that class is categorical. He shows, in particular, that if the class has amalgamation then, for some suitable Hanf number \(\chi_0\), if \(\chi_0< \lambda_0\leq\lambda_1\) and if \(K\) is categorical in \(\lambda_1\) then \(K\) is categorical in \(\lambda_0\).
