The author presents some new results in theory of fuzzy automata understood as in [\textit{D. S. Malik}, \textit{J. N. Mordeson} and \textit{M. K. Sen}, ibid. 68, No. 1, 83-92 (1994; Zbl 0846.68036)]. More precisely, he defines a Lowen-type topology associated with fuzzy automata that enables characterization of separation and connectivity for them. Necessary and sufficient conditions for connectivity and sufficient conditions for separation are found. The author introduces the notion of blocks in fuzzy automata and presents some of their properties. Unfortunately, no examples are given to illustrate the results and their application.
