The authors study the initial-boundary value problem for nonstationary Navier-Stokes equations in exterior domains \(\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^n\), \(n= 2,3\), \(\Omega\neq \mathbb{R}^2\), under the condition of vanishing velocity at infinity. The domain \(\Omega\) is supposed to be symmetric relative to each of the coordinate planes \(x_i= 0\), \(i= 1,2,3\) (or \(i= 1,2\)). If the data are small or satisfy certain symmetry conditions, and the external force is periodic, the authors establish existence and uniqueness of weak periodic solutions and investigate their regularity. It is also shown that periodic regular solutions are attainable, and in particular stable.
