Mixed boundary value problems of the heat equation which involve a second-order small thermal conductivity coefficient and a first-order small heat capacity and in which the coefficients in the equation are discontinuous at certain points and heat capacity is concentrated at these points, are studied. For the problem, the authors construct grid approximations based on standard weighted difference schemes and a condensed mesh. Important results are obtained.
