In accordance to the approach of \textit{M. Grabiec} [Fuzzy Sets Systems 27, 385-389 (1988; Zbl 0664.54032)], the authors establish some common fixed point theorems in fuzzy metric spaces for compatible maps in the sense of Jungck. Reviewer's remark: the contractive conditions used involve a continuous triangular norm \(*\) such that \(t*t\geq t\), \(t\in [0,1]\). Since one always has \(t\geq t*t\) for any \(t\in [0,1]\), it seems that the norm \(*\) must be necessarily min.
