The concept of kinetic flux vector splitting (KFVS) is applied to inviscid gas dynamic problems. The theory of KFVS is reviewed in detail, and the application to the Euler equations is outlined. With the help of KFVS new boundary conditions at fixed walls are derived, and their numerical performance is shown.
