The paper deals with the multiparameter system (1) \(W_ i (\lambda) = \sum^ n_{j=1} V_{ij} \lambda_ j - V_{i0}\), \(i = 1, \dots, n\), where \(\lambda = (\lambda_ 1, \dots, \lambda_ n)\) is an \(n\)-tuple of complex parameters and \(V_{ij}\) are linear transformations on a finite- dimensional vector space \(H_ i\). The corresponding linear transformation on the tensor product space is invertible. A basis for the second root subspace for simple eigenvalues of (1) (if \(\dim \ker W_ i (\lambda) = 1\) for all i) is described. The subclass of simple eigenvalues called nonderogatory eigenvalues is completely studied. An algorithm to construct a basis for the root subspace of a nonderogatory eigenvalue of the multiparameter system is given. For a self-adjoint multiparameter system (1) the author obtains conditions for the eigenvalues to be nonderogatory.
