The authors revisit observability defined by \textit{F. Lin} and \textit{W. M. Wonham} [Inf. Sci. 44, No. 3, 173-198 (1988; Zbl 0644.93008)] and show that although the original definition is intended for event observations and projections, its significance goes beyond its original intent. This note is interesting.
