Let \(A\) be a positive selfadjoint extension into \(L^2(\Omega)\) of a formally positive elliptic differential operator in a domain \(\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^{N}\) and let \(E_{\lambda}\) be its spectral measure. The spectral expansion of \(f\in L^2(\Omega)\) is said to converge absolutely at \(x\in\Omega\) if \(\int_0^\infty|dE_{\lambda}f(x)|<\infty\). The author reviews some sufficient conditions for absolute convergence of spectral expansions of functions in the generalized Besov classes. Then a special case (elliptic operators with constant coefficients in the cube \(T^{N}=\{x\in \mathbb{R}^{N}: |x_j|\leq\pi\}\) with periodic boundary conditions) is considered.
