Consider the stochastic Navier-Stokes equation of the form \[ {\partial X \over\partial t}-\nu\Delta X+\langle X,\Delta\rangle X+ \nabla p= F(X)+ G(X) {dW \over dt}, \quad \text{div} X=0, \quad X|_{\partial {\mathcal O}} =0, \tag{*} \] where \({\mathcal O} \subset \mathbb{R}^3\) is a bounded domain with boundary of class \(C^2\). In (*) \(W= (W_1,W_2,W_3)\) is a cylindrical Wiener process on \(L^2= :L^2 ({\mathcal O};R^3)\). The vector valued process \(X= (X_1, X_2, X_3) \) represents the velocity of an incompressible viscous fluid, and \(p\) is the pressure of the fluid. For the equations (*) in a 3-dimensional bounded domain the authors show that if the initial value is sufficiently regular, then martingale solutions are strong on a random time interval and the authors estimate its length. Moreover, then they prove the uniqueness of the strong solution in the class of all martingale solutions.
