Explicit expressions for the Laplace transforms of first hitting times by (squared) radial Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes, in particular Bessel processes, are derived. Furthermore, Bessel and squared Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes with negative dimensions or negative starting points are analyzed.
