A holomorphic vector field on a complex manifold \(M\) is said to be \(\mathbb{R}_+\)- (respectively, \(\mathbb{C}\)-) complete, if its time \(t\) flow map is well-defined for all \(t\) in \(\mathbb{R}_+\) (respectively, \(\mathbb{C}\)). It was proved earlier by \textit{J. Rebelo} [Ann. Inst. Fourier 46, 411-428 (1996; Zbl 0853.34002)] that a \(\mathbb{C}\)-complete vector field always has a nonzero two-jet at each its singular point. The paper under review extends this result to the \(\mathbb{R}_+\)-complete holomorphic vector fields. The proof is a slight modification of J. Rebelo's arguments. In the previous joint paper by the same authors together with \textit{M. Flores} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 128, 3107-3113 (2000; Zbl 1121.32303)] it was shown that in the case when the phase space \(M\) is Stein, the completeness of a holomorphic vector field in the positive time implies the completeness in the complex time. This implies the particular case of the result of the paper under review in the case, when \(M\) is Stein. The authors provide also an example of a Stein manifold \(M\) with a complete holomorphic vector field having two isolated singular points on \(M\).
