Ist \(p\) eine ungerade Primzahl und \(\xi\) der kleinste Exponent, so daß \[ a^\xi\equiv1\quad(\mod.p), \] so heißt \(\xi\) Hauptexponent der Basis \(a\) zum Modul \(p\), und \(\nu=\frac{p-1}\xi\) heißt Rest-Index. Die vorliegende Arbeit ist die Fortsetzung einer früheren (F. d. M. 39, 253, 1908). Sie gibt die Tafel der \(\nu\) für \(a=2\) und alle \(p\) zwischen \(10^4\) und \(3\cdot10^4\).
