Für die Kathodenstrahlen dürfte die ``ballistische'' Theorie besser zutreffen, da nach \textit{Kaufmann} die magnetische Ablenkung derselben umgekehrt mit \(\sqrt{P}\) proportional ist, \(P =\)Potentialdifferenz. Die hydraulische Theorie könnte dies kaum erklären. Diese dürfte aber vielleicht auf andere Entladungen anwendbar sein.
