Wiedergabe und Vervollständigung des Beweises von Argand (Cauchy), dass jede algebraische Gleichung eine Wurzel hat. Die Vervollständigung ist wesentlich dieselbe, welche sich in Lipschitz ``Lehrbuch der höheren Analysis'' I. p. 248-282 findet, doch bedeutend kürzer als daselbst.
