Um über die Convergenz des reellen unendlichen Kettenbruches \[ K= \frac{1}{a_1+}\frac{1}{a_2+}\frac{1}{a_3+}\ldots \] in entscheiden, wird das Product \[ A_{2k+1}= (1+a_1)(1+a_2)\ldots (1+a_{2k+1}) \] betrachtet. Es zeigt sich dann, dass, wenn Lim \(A_n\) endlich ist, der Kettenbruch oscillirt; dagegen convergirt derselbe, falls Lim \(A_n\) unendlich wird.
