The author introduces granular lattices and proves the following theorem: A topological space \(X\) is locally connected if and only if the lattice \(\Omega(X)\) of all open subsets of \(X\) is a granular lattice. Moreover, the concept of continuity of abstract semantics is discussed on certain granular lattices and the result is proved that the semantics is compact if it is continuous.
