The paper is devoted to a scalar problem of scattering from symmetric bodies. A method for its numerical solution is considered. Results for the problem of scattering from a cube, which has the noncommutative group of symmetries of order 48, are given. It is shown that the use of symmetry allows one to reduce the amount of computations by approximately a factor of about \(10^{3}\) and to obtain a stable solution to the boundary integral equation of the first kind on a mesh of about \(10^{4}\) points.
