Excessive kernels and Revuz measures (Q1579439): Difference between revisions

The paper contains analytic proofs, which improve results of \textit{J. Azéma} [ Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér., IV. Sér. 6, 459-519 (1973; Zbl 0303.60061)] and \textit{R. K. Getoor} and \textit{M. J. Sharpe} [Z. Warscheinlichkeitstheorie Verw. Geb. 67, 1-62 (1984; Zbl 0553.60070)]. Notably, the existence of a dual (right Borel) process on the same space is not supposed. Also, a new approach is presented for the Revuz measures, within the framework of sub-Markovian resolvents of kernels on a Lusin measurable space. Specifically, an excessive measure being fixed, a measure is associated with each natural potential or equivalently quasi-bounded excessive function. Characterizations of quasi-boundedness and regularity for excessive functions in terms of Revuz measure are proved.
