The paper answers two questions proposed by \textit{F. Zhang} [ibid. 251, 21-57 (1997; Zbl 0873.15008)], showing that there exists a \(2\times 2\) quaternion matrix with only two non-singular left eigenvalues that is not diagonalizable, and giving some necessary and sufficient conditions for \[ \left|\begin{matrix} A & B\\ -\overline B &\overline A\end{matrix}\right|= 0. \]
