The author deals with the Stokes equations in the half-space: \[ \vec u_t-\Delta_x \vec u+\nabla p=0,\quad \nabla\cdot\vec u=0\text{ in } \mathbb{R}^3_+\times (0,\infty), \] \[ \vec u(x,0)=\vec u_0,\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^3_+,\quad u(x,t)=0,\;x_3=0,\;t\in(0,\infty). \] Here \(\mathbb{R}^3_+ =\{x\in\mathbb{R}^3\mid x=( \overline x,x_3): =(x_1,x_2,x_2),\;x_3>0\}\) is the upper half-space of \(\mathbb{R}^3\), and \(\vec u_0\) is given a initial datum. The velocity \(\vec u=(u_1,u_2, u_3)\) and the pressure \(p\) are unknown. The author first considers the resolvent problem in weighted spaces to show the analyticity of the semigroup generated by the Stokes operator. Then, the author estimates the asymptotic behaviour of the Stokes solutions in the weighted spaces.
