This paper deals with the sufficient optimality conditions for a class of nonsmooth optimal control problems which can be considered as a generalization of the \(L_1\)-minimization. In these problems the incremental function involves an absolute value of the multiplication of the control and a smooth functions of the state. In addition, the controlled system is affine in the control and the control belongs pointwise to the interval \([-1,1]\). Due to the structure of these problems, the associated Pontryagin extremals are obtained by concatenations of bang arcs, zero arcs, and singular arcs. Relying on the Hamiltonian method, the authors have derived the sufficient optimality conditions for extremals given by a bang-zero control-bang structure. Here, the key assumptions are suitable regularity conditions and the coerciveness of the second variation at the switching points.
