Some impulsive nonlinear first order differential equations having periodic solutions is studied and several previous results are extended to a larger class of nonlinearities. The existence of positive periodic solutions of the studied problem is proved. Under some hypotheses it is proved that the given equation has at least one positive and periodic solution. Several examples showing the applicability of the results are given.
