The unbounded order (uo) convergence is studied in Banach lattices and vector lattices. Sufficient conditions are given for nets in Banach lattices to be (uo)-Cauchy. Also, some conditions are given for every (uo)-Cauchy net in a vector lattice to be (uo)-convergent in the universal completion of the vector lattice.
