Let the matrix \(A=A(y)=(A^{\alpha\beta}_{ij}(y))\in{\mathbb R}^{d^2\times N^2}\) be elliptic, \(1\)-periodic and Hölder continuous, for all \(0<\varepsilon<1/2\). The authors investigate the weak solution \(u^\varepsilon\) of the elliptic system \[ \begin{cases} -\nabla\cdot A(x/\varepsilon)\nabla u^\varepsilon & =0, \quad x\in D^\varepsilon_\psi(0,1),\\ u^\varepsilon & =0, \quad x\in\Delta^\varepsilon_\psi(0,1), \end{cases} \] in the domain \[ D^\varepsilon_{\psi}(0,1):=\big\{x'\in (-1,1)^{d-1}, \varepsilon \psi (x'/\varepsilon) < x_d < \varepsilon \psi(x'/ \varepsilon)+1\big\}\subset{\mathbb R}^d \] with highly oscillating Lipschitz boundary \[ \Delta^\varepsilon_{\psi}(0,1):=\{x'\in (-1,1)^{d-1},\;x_d=\varepsilon\psi(x'/\varepsilon)\}, \] where \(\psi\in W^{1,\infty}(\mathbb R^{d-1})\). The main result is the following estimate \[ \int_{(-r,r)^{d-1}}\int_{\varepsilon\psi(x'/\varepsilon)}^{\varepsilon\psi(x'/\varepsilon)+r}|\nabla u^\varepsilon|^2\leq Cr^d\int_{(-1,1)^{d-1}}\int_{\varepsilon\psi(x'/\varepsilon)}^{\varepsilon\psi(x'/\varepsilon)+1}|\nabla u^\varepsilon|^2 \] for all \(r\in[\varepsilon,1/2]\). This uniform estimate can be seen as a Lipschitz estimate down to the microscopic scale \(O(\varepsilon)\). The originality of this result is that it does not assume more than Lipschitz regularity on the boundary. The progress in this direction is made possible by an estimate for a boundary layer corrector.
