The authors consider the nonautonomous forced delay difference equation \[ \Delta x_n=p_nf(x_{n-k})+r_n, \hskip 1cm n=1,2,3,..., \] where the forcing term \(\{ r_n\}\) is a sequence of real numbers, \(\{ p_n\}\) a sequence of positive real numbers and \(k\) a nonnegative integer. They obtain sufficient conditions to assure that every solution of the equation converges to zero. They apply this result to some well known delay difference population models and improve some recent results about them.
