This paper deals with the wellposedness of the functional-differential equation \[ x^{\prime}+(K+S)x^{\prime}+ Ax(0)=f, \tag{1} \] where \(K\) and \(S\) are given as \[ Ky(t)=\int_0^tk(t,s)y(s)ds, \quad Sy(t)=\begin{cases} B(t)y(g(t)), &\text{if }g(t)\in[0,1],\\ 0, &\text{otherwise.}\end{cases} \] If \(K\) and \(S\) are bounded linear operators on \(L_p[0,1]\), then equation (1) is wellposed. If not (e.g., \(k(t,s)\) or \(B(t)\) are not integrable at \(t=0\)), under specific assumptions on \(k(t,s)\) and \(B(t)\), the author shows the wellposedness of (1) in some functional spaces.
