Let \(\mathfrak g\) be a finite-dimensional nilpotent Lie algebra over a field of characteristic zero. The symmetric algebra \(S({\mathfrak g})\) may be viewed as the polynomial algebra on the dual space \({\mathfrak g}^*\) and it carries a natural structure of a Poisson algebra with respect to the Kostant-Kirillov-Souriau bracket. This algebra when reduced to a coadjoint orbit \(M\) in \({\mathfrak g}^*\), i.e., the algebra \(S({\mathfrak g})/I\) with \(I\) being the ideal of functions vanishing on \(M\), is known to be a Poisson-Weyl algebra. However, generators of this algebra which satisfy the canonical commutation relations cannot be taken, in general, to be elements from \(S({\mathfrak g})\) which satisfy the canonical commutation relations globally. The first main result of the paper states that this is possible if, instead of \(S({\mathfrak g})\), we take the projective limit \[ \widehat S({\mathfrak g})=\varprojlim_nS({\mathfrak g})/I^n. \] The second problem which is studied concerns the transverse structures. It is proved that the commutant \(C\) in \(\widehat S\) of the lifted generators from \(S({\mathfrak g})/I\) is a Poisson algebra of formal series in appropriate number of variables. This algebra is singular at 0 and corresponds via the Taylor expansion, in the real case, to the transversal Poisson algebra of the symplectic leaf \(M\) described by A.~Weinstein.
