The DeGiorgi-Nash-Moser estimate plays a crucial role in the study of quasi-linear elliptic and parabolic equations. In the present paper we show that this fundamental estimate holds for solutions of a linear parabolic Volterra integrodifferential equation: \[ {{\partial u} \over {\partial t}}= {\partial \over {\partial x_i}} \Biggl[ a_{ij} (x,t) {{\partial u} \over {\partial x_j}} \Biggr]+ \int^t_0 {\partial \over {\partial x_i}} \Biggl[ b_{ij} (x,t, \tau) {{\partial u} \over {\partial x_j}} \Biggr] d\tau, \] where \(\{a_{ij}\}\) satisfy a strong ellipticity condition. The proof is based on \({\mathcal L}^{2, \mu}\) theory for parabolic equations. A global solvability result in the classical sense for a class of quasilinear parabolic integrodifferential equations is presented as an application of the general results.
