Let \(U(\zeta,r)= \{z:|z-\zeta |<r\}\), \(U=U(0,1)\). By \({\mathcal S}\) we denote the class of functions \(f\) holomorphic and univalent in \(U\), normalized by \(f(0)=0\), \(f'(0)=1\). By \({\mathcal S}{\mathcal T}\) we denote the class of starlike univalent functions \(({\mathcal S}{\mathcal T}\subset {\mathcal S})\) and by \(k-{\mathcal U}{\mathcal C}{\mathcal V}\), \(0\leq k<+ \infty-\) the class of \(k\)-uniformly convex functions introduced in 1999 [\textit{S. Kanas}, \textit{A. Wiśniowska}, J. Comput. Appl. Math. 105, 327-336 (1999; Zbl 0944.30008)]. The class \(1-{\mathcal U}{\mathcal C} {\mathcal V}\) was introduced in 1991 [\textit{A. W. Goodman}, Ann. Polon. Math. 56, 87-92 (1991; Zbl 0744.30010)]. For \(k=0\) we get the known class of convex functions. We remined that a function \(f\in{\mathcal S}\) is said to be \(k\)-uniformly convex in \(U\), if the image of every circular arc contained in \(U\) with center at \(\zeta\), \(|\zeta|\leq k\), is convex. The authors consider the class \(k-{\mathcal S}{\mathcal T}\), \(0\leq k<+\infty\), of \(k\)-starlike functions [see \textit{S. Kanas}, \textit{A. Wiśniowska}, Rev. Roum. Math. Pures Appl. 45, 647-657 (2000; Zbl 0990.30010)] which are associated with \(k\)-uniformly convex functions by the relation: \(f\in k-{\mathcal U}{\mathcal C}{\mathcal V}\) if and only if \(zf'(z)\in k-{\mathcal S}{\mathcal T}\). The authors present some geometric characterization of the class \(k-{\mathcal S}{\mathcal T}\).
