We prove that a space covered by an ordered family of compact subsets (indexed in \({\mathbb{N}}^{{\mathbb{N}}})\) is a K-analytic space whenever it is angelic or it is a locally convex space that is quasi-complete for its Mackey topology. So we improve a result of Talagrand and we give some applications inside the framework of locally convex spaces: we characterize the semireflexive spaces which are weakly K-analytic, we give a sufficient condition for a space with a dense weakly K-analytic subspace to be weakly K-analytic, and we obtain general results about K- analytic structures in spaces of continuous linear mappings leading us to a result for the completion of tensorial \(\epsilon\)-products. Some of our results include previous ones by M. Talagrand, M. Canela, M. De Wilde, M. Valdivia and J. Orihuela and the author.
