Utilizing a result by \textit{W. Oettli} and \textit{W. Prager} [Numer. Math. 6, 405-409 (1964; Zbl 0133.086)] and the classical Farkas theorem (which states that a system of linear equations \(Ax=b\) has a nonnegative solution if and only if for each y, \(A^ Ty\geq 0\) implies \(b^ Ty\geq 0)\), the author gives a simpler (cf. the author [Interval mathematics, Proc. Int. Symp., Freiburg/Ger. 1980, 521-529 (1980; Zbl 0552.65052)] proof for an analogous result for a system of linear interval equations.
