Bounded and compact laws of the iterated logarithm (LIL) for sums of i.i.d. r.v.s taking values in a separable Banach space and indexed by d- dimensional integer-valued vectors are considered. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the LIL are obtained when \(d\geq 2\). The so- called functional LIL that is the compact LIL in the corresponding functional space for some random field based on the d-dimensional array of the considered partial sums (multivariate analogue of the classical one-dimensional random broken line) is also considered.
