A half-ordered field is a field \(F\) with a multiplicative subgroup \(P\) of index~2. This allows to introduce the notion of order preserving (reversing) or monotonic permutations on the projective line \(\overline F:=F\cup\{\infty\}\). The set \(\overline F\) is used to describe the point set \(\overline F\times \overline F\) of a Minkowski plane, such that the circles of that Minkowski plane are obtained as (graphs of) suitable permutations of~\(\overline F\). Inspired by \textit{F.~R.~Moulton}'s construction of a non-Desarguesian affine plane [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 3, 192-195 (1902; JFM 33.0497.04)], half-ordered fields were also used to construct non-classical Minkowski planes [see \textit{J. M. Jakóbowski}, Zeszyty Nauk. Geom. 20, 13-21 (1993; Zbl 0807.51005) and \textit{G. F.~Steinke}, Beitr. Algebra Geom. 37, 355-366 (1996; Zbl 0873.51004)]. In the paper under review, the Klein--Kroll types of these Minkowski planes are determined. Examples for some of the resulting types are given.
